What can you do if R. Barbara Gitenstein Library does not own a particular book or journal article?
- Qualified TCNJ borrowers may use our Interlibrary Loan Service to obtain books or copies of journal articles that are not owned by the R. Barbara Gitenstein Library.
- TCNJ students and faculty can also gain access and borrowing privileges at the following libraries by presenting a valid TCNJ ID.
VALEnj Academic Libraries:
Faculty, students and staff from The College of New Jersey may also obtain onsite borrowing privileges at libraries participating in the VALEnj reciprocal borrowing agreement. NOTE: Rutgers University Libraries participate in this program. TCNJ users must obtain a signed VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Application Form from the R. Barbara Gitenstein Library before going to a participating VALE Library. See the VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Policy for a list of participating institutions and the required form.

Qualified TCNJ borrowers may request books and copies of journal articles that are not owned by the R. Barbara Gitenstein Library through our Interlibrary Loan Service. Before initiating a request, please check the Gitenstein Library Catalog to verify that the R. Barbara Gitenstein Library does not own the desired book or journal issue.
