The Chicago Manual of Style is the venerable, time-tested guide to style, usage, and grammar in an accessible online format. This online edition (CMSO) provides full-text access to both the 16th and current 17th editions. Also available: A Citation Quick Guide, Video Tutorials, Users Forum, Teacher & Student Resources section, and a list of Q&As. Look to Part III of the manual, Source Citations, for chapters on the two CMSO sub-styles: “Notes and Bibliography” (used primarily in the discipline of history) and “Author-Date” (used primarily in the social sciences).
