Gitenstein Library Access Services oversees circulation functions including borrowing, creating, and monitoring library users’ records and course reserves. The department also conducts interlibrary loan transactions (requesting materials owned by another library), collects user statistics, maintains the physical stacks, shelves materials, and searches for items missing from the collections. - The Circulation Services (circ@tcnj.edu) oversees the circulation of library materials by facilitating borrowing and by creating and monitoring users’ library records.
- The Reserves (reserves@tcnj.edu) as a function of Circulation Services offers Course Reserves in support of TCNJ academic programs.
- The Interlibrary Loan Services (ill@tcnj.edu) coordinates Interlibrary Loan transactions (requesting materials owned by another library) on behalf of Gitenstein Library users.
- Lost and Found: Personal property found in the Library is sent to the Access Services Department, where it is held for one semester only. If you have lost something in the Library, please inquire at the Access Services Desk.
- Laptops and other items such as whiteboard marker kits, headphones, portable DVD/CD drives, and ethernet cords may be borrowed at the Access Services Desk.
- Office supplies such as staplers, 3-hole punch, scotch tape, and scissors are available at the Business Center to the left of the Access Services Desk.
